Adopt a Hive
Our Adopt a Hive program is an innovate way to help the bee population from the comfort of your own home.
With the adoption of a beehive, you are helping the ecosystem and environment. Bees are essential to the world's flora, fauna and humankind. Adopt now and become part of the solution to the honey bees decline.
How we use the funds
First and foremost, the majority of the funds goes to taking care of the hive you have adopted. What does that mean? From feeding the hive to checking for predators and eliminating them or treating the bees for mites, there is a lot of maintenance in beekeeping. In the summer, we check on our hives to make sure the hive is healthy. Funds which are not used for direct beekeeping, goes to building new hives for next year, purchase of new equipment and replacement of gear which needs to be retired.
"The life of man would be made extremely difficult if the bee disappeared" - Charles Darwin
